Experience
I have many years of experience working with various levels of students in an educational setting. For example, I have worked with preschoolers and have also taught high school English at a bilingual collegio in Bogota, Colombia. For the past five years I have been tutoring with college age students who have learning disabilities such as ADHD/ADD, anxiety, Dyslexia, and other processing disorders. I believe that all students process information in their own unique manner. I can lead my students to tap into their potential through the use of creative and flexible learning techniques. I can help unpack hefty reading and theoretical assignments. I also assist my students with time management and organizational skills in order to create a successful academic experience. I have extensive knowledge of the U of O 's expectations for writing courses, as well as, Blackboard and Canvas systems. In addition to the subjects listed above I have experience tutoring Sociology, Psychology, Family Human Services, SAPP, Women and Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, Philosophy, Cinema Studies, Journalism, and Art Administration (AAOD). I have experience working with students from both U of O and Lane C.C. High school students, ESL and international students are also welcome.
