Experience
My main area of focus is on Biblical and Mesopotamian language and culture. I have studied Biblical Hebrew, Akkadian, and Ugaritic under leading Semitic philologists in Israel. My primary fields of interest within Biblical Studies are: Primeval history / mythology, Neo-Assyrian prophecy, the composition of prophetic books, the book of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and the minor prophets, as well as general history of the Ancient Near East. In my undergraduate degree, I studied philosophy extensively, especially the Kantian and Existentialist traditions, and wrote a final thesis on Søren Kierkegaard and Arthur Schopenhauer. I have tutored English as both a primary and second language, and particularly enjoy teaching academic composition.
