I am currently a senior chemistry major and sustainable materials chemistry researcher at University of Oregon, Eugene, OR. Previously, I attended Reed College in Portland, OR, from Fall 2013 to Winter 2015.
Experience
I am currently a tutor for college students taking lower-level chemistry classes (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry). I have been a tutor for over 4 years and in addition to college tutoring I have experience teaching engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology to elementary school students, and tutoring high school science and math. In high school, I achieved a score of 5 on AP tests in biology, statistics, United States history, art history, and studio art (drawing and painting). In addition to knowing the material for these tests, I feel that I have helpful study skills and preparation habits that I can impart. Recent awards I have earned include the Reed College President's Commendation for Excellence and the National Science Foundation STEM Scholar Award.
