Experience
I am a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University finishing up my degree in Mechanical Engineering. While a student, I have had plenty of teaching and tutoring experience, both with individuals and large classes. I started working with individual students in robotics at Johns Hopkins, and worked as a teaching assistant for various classes. In addition, I have lectured and taught Art, Philosophy, Design, Physics, and Engineering at the Maryland Institute: College of Art.My strengths as a teacher are my patience and my solid understanding of the subject as a whole. When approaching a problem, I strive to maintain a global perspective, while I walk through the concepts with the student, fitting the pieces together. My background in both mathematics and design give me a balanced approach to learning. I have a thorough understanding of all the different ways students learn. I am inspired when my students finally master a subject, and I love facilitating the process to reach their goals. In my free time, I like to be active outdoors. I am also a true foodie - I love cooking and visiting restaurants, and good food in general. My other interests are movies, books, and real estate.
