EducationSophomore (with senior standing) Spanish and Human Physiology major at the University of Oregon with a 4.10 GPA.
ExperienceI have taken Spanish classes for 7 years and recently returned from studying abroad in Mexico. I am now fully fluent in Spanish and have a very good grasp of both basic and advanced Spanish grammar. Additionally, my travels to Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Argentina give me a cultural understanding and perspective that can only be attained through traveling. I believe that Spanish is one of the most important tools that young people can have - it allows for more meaningful travel and is invaluable here in the United States as well. I received a 6 on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Spanish exam and earned a 2320 on the SAT. I will work hard to help you learn Spanish - whether it be grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or something else, I believe my skills and experience will meet the challenge!
HobbiesMy greatest passion is traveling. I travel as much as my wallet allows, but when I'm not wandering around South America I love training for and competing in triathlons. I also love all things outdoors - hiking, backpacking, kayaking, climbing, mountaineering. I also love to cook and read.
