I am uniquely qualified to offer assistance to high school and college students in admissions and scholarship preparation. I have over four years of experience presenting at various conferences on higher education and conducting bilingual workshops related to college admissions and scholarships preparation. Teaching Experience: Two years as Graduate Teaching Fellow (GTF) at 200, 300 and 400 levels, ranging from 30 to 120 undergraduate students at the University of Oregon. As a Teaching Fellow, I have taught undergraduate students in the following courses: Legal Processes, Introduction to American Politics, Racial Politics, Women and Politics, Middle East Politics, and American Political Thought. I also have one semester of teaching experience through the University of Washington’s Street Law clinic. Spanish immersion educator. Languages: Native Spanish speaker, experienced with Spanish language research and translation of legal terms and concepts including oral interpretation. Intermediate Arabic speaker.

Hobbies

I use my knowledge in immigration law to to volunteer in the legal field by taking pro-bono immigration cases and participating in free Citizenship Day clinics. I enjoy helping the immigrant community in this way. Cases I have successfully completed include VAWA, Family Petitions, Citizenship, Legal Permanent Residence, and Deferred Action. I also enjoy reading, yoga, dancing and playing traditional folk music from Mexico, and outdoor activities like running and hiking.
