| Experience: | I have experience tutoring middle school, high school and college aged students math and chemistry. My SAT scores were 610 math, 670 reading comp. and writing. As a chemistry major, I am experienced in general, organic, and physical chemistry including the math required for these subjects. I have been doing research for two years in an organic chemistry lab which is working on supramolecular chemistry. The research which I was working on this summer was published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry. I want to tutor because I know how difficult science and math can be. Sometimes teachers and tutors don't understand that not everyone learns at the same rate, and I want to make sure that people who need it get extra help. Too few people are interested in science and I really think it is because they didn't get the chance to get excited about it. |
| Hobbies: | In my spare time, I like to snowboard, which I have been doing for 4 years. I grew up around the Columbia Gorge, so I go hiking and backpacking. I also enjoy playing some strategy games like Civilization 4. I am easy going and patient. |
