Well, I haven't tutored before (except for my younger sister), however it's something I've long been interested in, and seems like just the kind of thing I could have used midway through Highschool. I now have the time and hopefully the knowledge to give it a try. Besides, who doesn't want the rush of having someone coming to you for answers?
I did well in several AP tests (History, Lit., composition) as well as on the SAT's (2120), but not without an unreasonable amount of stress and heartbreak. I'd love to help others wade through the lame ocean of standardized tests with a little more confidence and direction than I had.
My educational background is stronger on history, english, language, literature, philosophy etc. than it is on high-level mathematics. I have experience up through calculus, but it's not my strength. My current college focus is in international relations and Arabic - I couldn't list Arabic on the basic info page, but If you need a tutor in that language...-.

Hobbies:

Music, - playing, listening, discussing etc. - Sports involving frisbees, cooking, Video games as an art form.

I have lots of experience teaching. I have taught skiing to children aged 10 to 13 for two years. I am tested annually to make sure I can teach all age groups to ski, including teens and adults. This gives me tools to teach difficult motions and concepts in often adverse conditions (I teach in Minnesota!), while keeping it safe and fun. I have also taught the cello to students ranging in age from 12 to 15. Since learning an instrument is all about practice, I had to come up with ways to make it worthwhile and interesting for my students.
